La Paz Waterfall and volcano crater

On thursday, we went to the La Paz waterfalls and to the crater of the Paos volcano. The crater is covered by clouds 3/4 of the time, but as we walked up to the crater, it cleared as we arrived, perfect timing. the crater is 1 mile in diameter and has a pool of highly acidic water in the actual crater. The volcano last erupted in 1910.

The La Paz waterfall gardens had a zoo/ museum type feel. We arrived and I didnt really know what to expect but they had lots of animals in cages and such. They had birds, monkeys, butterflies, snakes, and Frogs. The last part of the tour was the 4 waterfalls that were gorgeous. I have pictures and videos of the animals. the birds were the coolest part because they would fly and land on your shoulder and try to eat your coat. They were not scared of us at all.
The humming birds were very interesting. For their size, they have the largest heart and brain. They fly at an average speed of 45 mph and only fly 20% of their lives. They flap their wings 60 times a second.
